Location & Directions
Finding Us
Through fall 2026, while the Life Sciences Building is renovated, the Department of Biology’s main office is in the Natural Sciences Building, Room 328, on UofL’s Belknap Campus. The Natural Sciences Building sits next to the Chemistry Building, just off S. Brook Street. Biology teaching and research are also underway in the Shumaker Research Building and the Belknap Academic Building on Belknap Campus, and in several buildings on the Health Sciences Campus downtown.
Step by Step Directions
- Starting from the Floyd Street Garage (2126 S. Floyd St.):
- Exit the garage and head south on S. Floyd Street.
- Turn right toward University Boulevard, then right onto University Boulevard.
- Turn left toward S. Brook Street, then left onto S. Brook Street.
- Turn right, take the stairs, and the Natural Sciences Building will be on your right, beside the Chemistry Building.
Parking Information
Visitor parking is available in the Floyd Street Garage at 2126 S. Floyd St. Permit holders with a Blue Lot Permit may also park in the Floyd Street Garage or the Speed School Building Lot, located south of the Chemistry Building.
Accessibility
Ramps and wheelchair-accessible entrances are available, and a central elevator provides access to upper floors. If you require any special accommodations, please contact our office in advance of your visit, and we'll be happy to assist you.
