C.O.N.E.C.T. Peer Mentoring Program

The C.O.N.E.C.T. (Caring of New Students Experiencing College Transition) Program empowers first-year students through peer advising, fostering academic and social engagement while cultivating a sense of belonging. By strengthening these connections, the program enhances student retention, academic success and leadership development.

Services

  • One-on-One Peer Mentoring
    • All incoming freshmen (mentee) will be paired with an upperclassman (mentor). Meet with your mentor at least 3 times per semester
    • Discuss concerns, successes and contribute suggestions
    • Give guidance and advice regarding your social life, academics and personal issues
    • Be a university resource for you
    • Maintain a confidentiality contract with mentees
