WGST alumni are attorneys, scholars, nurses, editors and nonprofit leaders. Stay connected, give back and help prepare the next generation of informed advocates for change.

Alumni support directly sustains a program that prepares students to become informed leaders and advocates for social change. Gifts enhance community-based internships, interdisciplinary research and innovative programs like the LGBTQ Applied Health certificate and the Women in Entrepreneurship minor – all of which connect classroom learning to real-world impact.
Contributions also expand access to flexible coursework, support faculty mentorship and strengthen community-engaged research and teaching. Every gift empowers students to develop the critical analytical, research and communication skills to address complex social issues.

Where WGST Alumni Lead
- Dr. Monica Marks (BA) — Rhodes and Fulbright Scholar; Assistant Professor at NYU Abu Dhabi and former Harvard Weatherhead Center postdoctoral fellow. A first-generation college student from rural Kentucky, she studies Islamist movements, gender and politics in the Middle East and North Africa, and earned her master's and PhD at Oxford.
