Student Experience
Seminar tables, archives and museums across a history-rich city – discover what it’s like to study the past at UofL.
Beyond the Classroom
The conversation doesn’t stop when the seminar ends. Phi Alpha Theta – the history honor society, directed by Dr. Rebecca Devlin – connects top students to the discipline’s professional community, and visiting speakers, workshops and conferences fill the calendar alongside the annual Gottschalk Lecture and the History in Movies screening. Students present their own research, join community-engaged public history projects and find their people among majors, minors and graduate students who share a fascination with the past.
