In Plain Sight: Sites of Memory and Rituals | MFA Gallery

January 13 – Feb. 10, 2023

Every day we navigate through different places and settings, surrounded by the noise and distractions of contemporary life. Within these spaces we encounter sites that become imbued with both personal and public significance. This exhibition reveals each artist’s ongoing investigations into the systems that connect meaning to substance. In using methods that are reflective of the dynamic relationships that occur between ritual, memory, and place, the artists grant the audience access to the meeting points of these concepts, all of which can be found in plain sight.

Participating Students: John Clay, Donna R. Charging, Annabela Cockrell, Hannah DeWitt, Eisey Eisenhardt, Trish Korte, Shachaf Polakow, Suyun Son, and John Day.
