Learn from Leading Artists and Scholars
Our faculty are practicing artists, curators and scholars actively engaged in their fields. As a graduate student, you'll work closely with faculty mentors who specialize in painting, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics art history and beyond. Outside the studio and classroom, faculty support your professional development, exhibition opportunities and career advancement.
How to apply

Apply to the Graduate School
All applicants submit the following through the Graduate School application portal:
- Completed application and $65 fee
- Official transcripts from all institutions attended
- Two letters of recommendation addressing your academic and/or artistic achievements

Submit Program-Specific Materials
MFA applicants: Submit the following via SlideRoom ($10 fee):
- Portfolio of 20 images demonstrating conceptual and technical skills
- Artist's Statement (500 words max)
- Statement of Intent (500 words max) outlining your educational and professional goals
- Résumé (2 pages max)
MA applicants: Submit the following through the Graduate School portal:
- Statement of Purpose (500 words) outlining your goals in Art History or Curatorial Studies
- Writing sample (typically an advanced Art History paper)
