Art + Design Student Life

Art + Design students benefit from a dynamic blend of academic and professional opportunities. They engage in collaborative projects with local and global partners, internships, and participate in national and international symposia, gaining valuable hands-on experience while building leadership and networking skills. Students also have the chance to get involved in various student organizations and campus events, fostering a strong sense of community. These experiences, combined with personalized faculty mentorship, help students develop the skills, confidence, and connections needed for success in the competitive art and design field.

Beyond the Classroom

At the Hite Institute of Art + Design, students engage in a variety of extracurricular opportunities that complement their academic learning and foster personal growth. Key organizations such as the Student Art League and the Hite Gallery provide platforms for creative expression, while events like the Annual Student Exhibitions and Visiting Artist Lectures enhance professional development. These activities help build a strong community, encourage collaboration, and prepare students for successful careers in the arts.
