French Film Festival

Your front-row seat to French cinema.

From late March through mid-April, the French Film Festival brings French cinema to the University of Louisville and the Speed Art Museum – sparking conversation and cultural connection right here in our community.

What to expect

Each film is in French with English subtitles – no French skills required. Every screening wraps up with a post-film discussion led by local experts on French cinema and culture – your chance to join the conversation, no matter what language you speak.

When and where

Most screenings take place Thursday evenings at 5 p.m. in the Floyd Theater at the Swain Student Activities Center, 2100 S. Floyd St. on the UofL Belknap Campus.
