For more than 30 years, the "Reel" Latin America(n) Film Festival has brought the boldest voices in Spanish and Latin American cinema to the University of Louisville. Presented by the Department of Classical and Modern Languages and the Latin American and Latino Studies Program, the festival sparks dialogue around identity, resilience and belonging – right here in our community.

What to expect

Each film is presented with English subtitles – no Spanish skills required. Screenings are paired with conversations that dig into the stories, themes and cultures behind the films – your chance to connect, reflect and be part of the discussion.
