Each year, the Department of Classical and Modern Languages brings world cinema to Louisville through two free film festivals.
French Film Festival
Your front-row seat to French cinema. From late March through mid-April, experience French film with English subtitles at UofL and the Speed Art Museum – plus post-screening discussions that bring every story to life.
"Reel" Latin America(n) Film Festival
For more than 30 years, this festival has brought the boldest voices in Spanish and Latin American cinema to UofL. Every screening is free, subtitled in English and paired with conversations that go beyond the screen.
