Physics and Astronomy Graduate Student Honored with UofL’s Prestigious Guy Stevenson Award for Excellence

Physics Ph.D. candidate Clayton Robertson has been selected as the 2025 recipient of the Guy Stevenson Award for Excellence in Graduate Study, one of the university’s highest graduate honors. The award recognizes outstanding scholarship, leadership, and service. Robertson will represent the Graduate School as the student commencement speaker at the December ceremonies. 

His research focuses on mapping interstellar dust attenuation in spiral galaxies using overlapping galaxy pairs, advancing understanding of the structure and evolution of galaxies.
