Graduate Admissions
Take your study of biology deeper through mentored research and a close scholarly community. Our master of science and PhD immerse you in active research across the life sciences, with the option to start your master’s early through our accelerated 4+1.
How to apply
-
1Determine your eligibility
You'll need a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution — preferably in biology — and a minimum 3.0 undergraduate GPA. GRE scores (or MCAT/DAT) are optional but can strengthen your application. International applicants whose degree wasn't earned at an English-language institution will also need a TOEFL of at least 83 (internet-based), an IELTS of at least 6.5 or a Duolingo score of at least 105.
PhD applicants meet the same standards with one key addition: before you can be admitted, you'll need to connect with a biology faculty member and secure their agreement to serve as your major professor — so reach out early to faculty whose research interests you.
