The sum of all institutional aid received cannot exceed the university’s total standard direct cost of attendance plus a stipend. Items in the standard direct cost include regular on-campus tuition charges*, average room**, average board***, and average book costs***. The Hite Institute of Art + Design offers a number of scholarship and award opportunities for students, outside of University-wide scholarships & financial aid.

Must be a distinguished graduate student in the glass program.
one-year scholarship
Arts & Sciences Graduate Teaching Assistantships (GTA)
Current Studio Art & Design graduate students in the M.F.A. program who have completed a minimum of 18 hours of graduate coursework.
GTAs are expected to teach 6 hours (two courses) of introductory-level courses over the academic year.
Barbara Bullitt Christian Memorial Scholarship in Photography
Full time distinguished undergraduate in the photography program nominated by the program's faculty and based on merit demonstrated through creative concepts in photography; strong execution and craft; commitment to continual improvement of their work; and interaction with faculty and peers in the creative process.
Bill Fischer Senior Project Grant
Based on faculty recommendations following BFA reviews.
Two awards of $250 are given to BFA candidates to help with materials costs for completing their senior show.

Full-time MA students in the Department of Art + Design.

Dario A Covi Scholarship
full time distinguished undergraduate in Art History
Design Studio Scholar
Any current student accepted into the BFA program in Graphic Design.
Provides a $2,500 tuition remission scholarship per year ($1,250 per semester)* in exchange for working approximately eight to 10 hours work per week during each semester as a graphic design assistant on department materials.
