The Hite Institute of Art + Design offers a number of scholarship and award opportunities for students, outside of University-wide scholarships & financial aid.

"Dr. John B. and Bonnie Seidman Roth Endowed Glass Scholarship"

Eligibility:

Must be a distinguished graduate student in the glass program.

Arts & Sciences Graduate Teaching Assistantships (GTA)

Eligibility:

Current Studio Art & Design graduate students in the M.F.A. program who have completed a minimum of 18 hours of graduate coursework.

Amount of aid: $16,000 stipend, tuition remission*, and health insurance.
Number of scholarships awarded per year: Varies
Additional details:

GTAs are expected to teach 6 hours (two courses) of introductory-level courses over the academic year.

Barbara Bullitt Christian Memorial Scholarship in Photography

Eligibility:

Full time distinguished undergraduate in the photography program nominated by the program's faculty and based on merit demonstrated through creative concepts in photography; strong execution and craft; commitment to continual improvement of their work; and interaction with faculty and peers in the creative process.

Bill Fischer Senior Project Grant

Eligibility:

Based on faculty recommendations following BFA reviews.

Amount of aid: $250
Number of scholarships awarded per year: 2
Additional details:

Two awards of $250 are given to BFA candidates to help with materials costs for completing their senior show.

Cressman Scholars

Eligibility:

Full-time MA students in the Department of Art + Design.

Daniel Stewart Scholarship in Design

Eligibility:

full time distinguished undergraduate Junior or Senior majoring in graphic design

full time distinguished undergraduate in Art History

Design Studio Scholar

Eligibility:

Any current student accepted into the BFA program in Graphic Design.

Amount of aid: $2,500
Number of scholarships awarded per year: 1
Additional details:

Provides a $2,500 tuition remission scholarship per year ($1,250 per semester)* in exchange for working approximately eight to 10 hours work per week during each semester as a graphic design assistant on department materials.

Dezine Scholarship in Graphic Design

full time distinguished female undergraduate Senior majoring in graphic design
