Pipeline, a powerful and timely drama by acclaimed playwright Dominique Morisseau, comes to the University of Louisville for a limited run this month.

Set against the backdrop of America’s education and criminal justice systems, Pipeline follows Nya, a dedicated public school teacher and single mother, and Omari, her son. When a heated incident threatens to derail Omari’s future, Nya must confront painful questions about race, class, power, and what it truly means to protect the people we love.

The play challenges audiences to consider how schools can become conduits to opportunity—or pipelines to incarceration—and what it takes to interrupt that cycle.

Performances of Pipeline will take place at the Thrust Theatre (2314 S. Floyd St.):

  • Feb. 20th, 21st, 27th and 28th at 7:30 p.m., and Feb. 22nd and March 1st at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $10 for students, $15 for alumni, seniors, and UofL faculty and staff, and $20 for general admission.

Tickets are available at Theatre Arts or at the box office at 2314 S. Floyd St.
