"The Humanities PhD at UofL is unique, innovative, and smart. The Public Arts and Letters track is one of few programs I know of where people like me who want to expand both their creative work and their thinking and articulation around that work can thrive. Creativity in one's scholarship during the Humanities program is both encouraged and fostered by the brilliant, caring faculty, as is interdisciplinary extension. I tell people all the time, if you want to build a scholarly backbone while practicing your art, this is the program for you. If you want to carve your own space and are ready to achieve that, this is the place to be."
