Why Our Graduate Program

Advance your future in psychological science through rigorous, research-driven training with a legacy behind it: our clinical program has been accredited by the American Psychological Association since 1973. You’ll explore areas such as mental health, development, neuroscience and social behavior while building advanced skills in research design, data analysis and scientific communication — and leave prepared to lead in research, clinical practice or industry.

You’ll work closely with faculty who lead more than 15 active research labs, collaborating on questions in neuroimaging, child development, stress and health, eating and anxiety disorders and social decision making. Through this mentorship you’ll design studies, publish research and shape your professional path within a supportive, cohort-based environment that prioritizes inclusive excellence and interdisciplinary thinking.

Your graduate experience culminates in a thesis or dissertation that contributes original knowledge to the field, grounded in extensive lab work and often in community-engaged research. By graduation you’ll have a strong research portfolio, a professional network and the confidence to pursue clinical licensure, academic positions or advanced careers in industry.

Alumni Outcomes

Our graduates lead in academia, health care and industry. Over the past decade, 100% of our clinical doctoral students matched to APA-accredited internships – every one of them paid – and 100% of program graduates seeking licensure became licensed psychologists.
