We also have galleries located in the Cressman Center for Visual Arts in downtown Louisville, and at the MFA Building in the historic Portland neighborhood. Schneider Hall - Belknap Campus
About
Schneider Hall houses the departmental offices, and studios for foundation design, drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, graphic design, new media, and interior design, as well as computer labs, galleries, and a library dedicated to fine arts scholarship.

Location & Directions
Schneider Hall (2300 S. First Street Walk, Louisville, Kentucky, 40208) is located on the University of Louisville's Belknap Campus. Our mid-century modern building is easily accessible from the main campus entrance.
Step-by-Step Directions
- To reach Schneider Hall, enter the University of Louisville's main entrance at 2301 S 3rd Street.
- Follow the oval around to the West Information Center on your right. Pull into the small drive next to the center and stop at the window. Inform them you’re visiting Schneider Hall and request a visitor parking pass.
- After obtaining your pass, proceed to the visitor parking lot. From there, it’s just a short walk to Schneider Hall.
- From the parking lot, head northeast, passing between Grawemeyer Hall and the Natural Sciences Building.
- Follow the diagonal path. Schneider Hall will be directly ahead of you.
- Schneider Hall is a red brick, glass, and smooth stone building, with a beautiful fountain adjacent to the right.
Parking Information
Visitor parking for Schneider Hall is available with a pass obtained from the West Information Center. Please ensure your visitor pass is clearly displayed in your vehicle to avoid any parking citations.
Accessibility
Schneider Hall is wheelchair accessible via the main front and rear northeast entrances. If you need any special accommodations, please contact our office in advance of your visit, and we’ll be happy to assist you.

The Cressman Center for Visual Arts

The Cressman Center, located in the heart of the downtown arts district, houses the department's glass studios as well as the John B. and Bonnie Seidman Roth Gallery, Leonard and Adele Leight Gallery, and the Alice S. and Irvin F. Etscorn Gallery.

The Cressman Center is located at 100 E Main Street, Louisville, KY 40202.
Directions from I-65 North
- Take I-65 N to S Brook St and exit at 136B.
- Continue onto S Brook St.
- Use the left lane to turn left onto E Main St. The Cressman Center will be on your left.
Parking Information
Parking is available on street or in the Parc Garage just before the entrance to the Cressman Center.

- From S 3rd St, take S 2nd St to W Lee St.

- Turn left onto Rowan St.
- Your destination will be on the left.
