Cressman Center for Visual Arts

The Cressman Center’s mission is to educate, engage, and excite the community through the visual arts. Located at First and Main Streets in Louisville’s downtown arts district, it serves as a dynamic space where theory meets practice and where artists connect with the public. The Center houses the Hite Institute’s glass program, allowing visitors to observe daily glass studio operations.

The facility spans 12,000 square feet, with 2,100 square feet dedicated to gallery space. It includes a hot shop, cold-working studios, sculpture studios and shops, and a seminar room.

The Cressman Center features three exhibition spaces:

  • John B. and Bonnie Seidman Roth Gallery
  • Leonard and Adele Leight Gallery
  • Alice S. and Irvin F. Etscorn Gallery

Parking: Paid parking is available on First and Main Streets, as well as in the First and Main Garage.
