Schneider Hall Galleries

With an active exhibition program featuring local, regional, national, and international artists, as well as student work from BA, BFA, MA, and MFA programs, Schneider Hall provides approximately 3,300 square feet of gallery space on Belknap Campus.

Cressman Center Visual Arts

The Cressman Center enhances the department's studio art and exhibition programs. Located at First and Main in the downtown arts district, it features a glass program, 12,000 square feet of studio space, and galleries for ongoing exhibitions.

Bridwell Art Library

The Bridwell Art Library, in Schneider Hall, houses the university’s research collection in art, design, and architecture, with nearly 92,000 volumes. It features a strong collection in photography and modern art, rare books, and archival materials.

Photographic Archives

The Photographic Archives holds nearly 2 million photographs and records, aiming to collect and organize significant documentary collections. It offers a staffed reference desk, print services, and a gallery showcasing changing exhibitions.

University Art Collection

The University Art Collection began in 1937 with 104 prints. It has since grown to over 3,000 pieces, thanks to gifts and a bequest from Morris B. Belknap, Jr. The collection supports the art curriculum and enriches community cultural resources.

The Speed Art Museum

The Speed Art Museum, Kentucky's oldest and largest, is located next to the university campus. With modern architecture, interactive exhibits, and inviting outdoor spaces, it provides many opportunities to engage with art at your own pace.

Portland MFA Studio

The Hite Institute’s Master of Fine Arts program is in a renovated 1800s warehouse in the historic Portland neighborhood. It offers studio space for MFA students and faculty in ceramics, drawing, fiber, glass, painting, printmaking, and more.
