The Hite Institute of Art + Design is excited to announce our Spring 2023 BFA Thesis Exhibition. This annual event showcases the work of students graduating with a Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts. This semester, our group of graduating BFA Students features 7 students who work in a variety of media and includes: Amaiya Crawford, Mahika Gupta, Sydney Hughes, Lauren Sanderfer, Raurey Shaw, Chase Walker and Lily Weakle

Korea Fiber Art 2023, Louisville | From Birth to Death

Korea Fiber Art 2023, Louisville, is a continuation of the Korea Fiber Art Biennale held in Suwon, South Korea in October, 2022. This exhibition presupposes all visual arts working in the language of fibers. Our goal is to break down the boundaries that have been ambiguous in the categories of craft and fine art to conceive fiber art as broad and diverse expressions.

Speaking Figuratively: Narrative, Emotion, & The Body offers diverse representations of the figure in art globally, thematically, and in various media. With work by 26 artists spanning the 17th – 21st centuries, Speaking Figuratively explores the ways artists utilize the human form—narratively to tell stories or comment on current political and social issues and emotionally to conjure feelings of bliss, desire, pain, or pleasure.
